THE PERRY PUSH CARD, like all push cards, had to represent the candidate and his platform in a very limited area. We felt it also should reflect a sophistication that would appeal to the urban voters crucial to a race for Lt. Governor of Texas.

Because the printing specifications were for 3-color on the front and 2-color on the back, we needed to convert the full color desk portrait to black and white and rebuild the full color billboard graphic in 3 colors.

Creating high quality black and white images from color photos involves the selective use and blending of color channels, contrast enhancement, and the manipulation of highlights, midtones and shadows to accommodate the type of paper to be printed on.
